Transfering to new domain

Finally, I have decided to start my a new blog on paid hosting with its new domain name. My current blogs, TechWorld and WebScape will both be integrated into this new blog. That's the main reason why I haven't been posting since quite a couple of days and won't be posting for about a week more.

When I finally setup wordpress and start working on it, I'll disclose the adress here.

Till then, just hang on...

PS: The new blog will talk about making money online, Technology, internet, computers, blogging and offcourse Webscapin'

Free Review #1: Hashout

Hashout: Because together we know more

Hashout is now 7 months old and going on very well. The author of the blog, Aziz, blogs just about anything that fancies him. Aziz is from India.

He writes absolutely original content and tries to make his posts as informative and interesting as possible. Now since Hashout covers a wide range of topics, you are bound to find more than a few categories which you’ll have at least some interest in.

I stumbled on this blog about a month ago and have been its regular feed reader ever since. I especially find his Blogger hacks section useful, where he gives the ‘must have’ hacks for blogger and explains how to install them on your blogger blog in plain simple English.

Often Aziz touches on topics like why are horseshoes considered lucky, and some other similar weird (while intriguing) topics for a blog.

Hashout’s layout is very impressive and pleasing to the eye. The template of the blog is pretty unique; I wish I can get my hands on that template somehow…

This post is part of the ongoing Free Reviews promotion series. In turn for a free review, all I am asking for the owner of the blog featured in this post is to include a link to my homepage or my free reviews promotion post or both in a subsequent post on their blog(s).

Review Exchange

From today, I am starting a review exchange. Here’s the deal: you review me, leave the review URL here in the comments, and I review you back. As simple as that.

Benefits of taking part in my review exchange:

  • SEO Benefit1: You accumulate backlinks and Google loves backlinks.
  • SEO Benefit2: I link to you in the review using the title of your blog (or another keyword as otherwise specified). This means you get links pointing to your blog with your keywords, which increases your ranking in Google search results.
  • Traffic: My blog’s readers may click on the link leading to your blog to find out more about you and your blog.

Rules (see this before taking part or I might not review you back if you don’t meet the requirements):

  • Required PageRank: No requirement as of now. That is, currently you can submit your application for a review exchange even if your PR is 0.
  • Minimum Posts on you blog: You should already have posted at least 20 posts on your blog.
  • Minimum Words: Your review about my blog must be of at least 120 words. If found less, I won’t review you back.
  • No blogs related to porn or warez accepted.
  • If you want to exchange review with me, then you have to review my blog first. I will not review you first. I’ve already dealt with enough scammers.

Here’s how to apply:

  • Just leave a comment in this post requesting a review exchange. The comment should include your blog’s URL, the URL of the post where you reviewed my blog and what keyword(s) you want to appear in the link to your blog in your blog’s review. Note: If keyword(s) is not specified, then I’ll just take the title of your blog as the text of your blog’s link.
  • You may (it’s not necessary) include your email as well so I can contact you after I review your blog, so you can know the URL of your review. If you don’t give your email then I’ll just post the updates in this post itself (in the comments).

So, what are you waiting for? Start participating in my review exchange and your blog will be benefited immensely…

Life of Minci Yazumin

The life of Minci Yazumin is a personal blog, well, written by Minci Yazumin. He basically blogs about anything that interests her and her interests are…err…too many. He even writes about the music, the books and the movies that he likes. Minci also discusses some recent events (like the craze before the release of the movie of the Simpsons) and includes some funny stuff every now and then.

Minci’s blog is very clean. No advertising, no flashing banners and no AdSense (!). Hmm…it appears to me he’s one of the handful bloggers left who haven’t succumbed to the Blog Monetization Madness (BMM).

The general page layout is very well done and the template looks attractive to me. Also, objects are neatly arranged in the sidebar. Certainly no visual clutter.

When I viewed her about me page I saw a pretty goofy image. Hehe…I had seen it before and wanted it for my avatar in some of the forums I visit. Finally I was able to get my hands on it…

Here see it for yourself:

I am reviewing blogs for free!

I was looking at BetshopBoy’s blog and his unique way of reviewing blogs caught my attention. Instead of the regular ‘you review me and I link back to you’ what he does is that he scours the web for interesting websites and reviews them in his blog. What he asks in return is for the blogmasters, whose blogs he has reviewed, to give a link to his blog's home page with the specified anchor text in a subsequent post.

This is, I think, the first blogger I’ve come across who implements this kind of tactic to get more backlinks to his blog. I have seen his archives and this method of promoting your blog certainly works, because he now has many backlinks and a Technorati authority of about 600+ just after about 4 (actually 3) months he started blogging seriously.

Since WebScape is one of a kind blog and it certainly has a theme that only a handful blogs have, I have realized that this blog needs much more link love than other blogs to be noticed. Betshopyboy’s success (even though his theme is much more popular one) has certainly inspired me to do the same and get some much needed link love for my blog.

Now, unlike betshopboy’s blog, my whole blog is centered around reviewing the best websites/blogs I find on the web. So I thought, why not get some link love and exposure for the reviews than simply reviewing someone and not getting anything in return. This tactic certainly blends in much better with my blog.

What I am going to do is that I’ll look for interesting blogs and review them. After that, I’ll label them with ‘Free Reviews’ so that the readers of my blog can access them at once. As with betshopboy, all I ask in turn for the blog owners is to link back to my blog or this post or both. I’ll just review about 1-2 blogs per week for inclusion in my Free Reviews category; this way I’ll maintain the quality of my blog as well as get some link love going on.

So, starting from this week I am finally starting this promotion.

Just wait and see, I might as well include your blog!

Let’s see how it goes…

Get Viral!

Yesterday, I found this great Viralink through which you can get many back links. I noticed about these Viralinks when I was reading Andy Coat's blog and came across a post highlighting these links.

Since my blog is comparatively new, I certainly need new backlines by the day so I can make more people to come to my blog. Thus, I need to go Viral!

Below is a matrix of 120 stars, I have already added a link to my blog onto one of the stars, all you need to do is copy and paste the grid into your blog and add your own link to one of the other spare stars, and tell others to do the same!

When I receive a ping back once you have added the Viralink to your site I will add your link to this grid, and each person who copies the grid from here will also link to your site!

Rules

No Porn Sites

Only 1 link per person (i.e don’t hog the viralink!)

Please don’t tamper with other peoples url’s.

Enjoy!

If you want to know how this strategy works, in detail, then Andy has done his work thoroughly by explaining the exponential benefits that viralink is expected to bring in this post here.
